07h00: Our car and English-speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel or agreed meeting point in central Can Tho. Depart for Chau Doc, An Giang.

09h00| VISIT AN ANCIENT KHMER PAGODA

Firstly, your exploration will begin with a visit to an ancient Khmer pagoda, where you will awed by region's remarkable architecture and distinctive cultural legacy. These sacred structures serve as a testament to the ingenuity and spiritual devotion of the Khmer people, and by delving into their history and symbolism, you will gain a deeper understanding of the region's remarkable past.

10h00| EXPERIENCE KRAN MAKING - TRADITIONAL KHMER AERTHEN STOVE

Next, you will visit a Kran making house, where you will have the opportunity to witness the age-old process of crafting traditional clay ovens. This hands-on experience will allow you to connect with the artisans who have carried on this centuries-old traditional, learning firsthand the techniques and skills that have been passed down through the generations. As you observe the meticulous attention to detail and the mastery of the craft, you will gain a newfound appreciation for the enduring spirit of Khmer culture.

11h00| DISCOVER THE PALM GROVE

Explore the traditional way of life of local people and learn how palm sap is collected from palm trees and processed into refreshing palm juice and palm sugar. This is one of the most distinctive experiences in the Khmer cultural region. In the palm grove, enjoy fresh palm fruit, natural palm juice and palm milk. You may also purchase local palm products as souvenirs for family and friends. You will also have the opportunity to observe the traditional process of cooking palm sap into palm sugar directly in the palm fields.

12h00| TASTE TRI TON'S FAMOUS ROASTED CHICKEN

Head to the Tri Ton area for lunch and enjoy O Thum roasted chicken, a local specialty of the Seven Mountains region. The chicken is marinated with local spices and traditionally roasted until the skin becomes beautifully golden and fragrant while the meat remains tender and flavorful. This is rustic specialty offers an authentic taste of the Khmer culinary culture of the Seven Mountains.

14h00| VISIT TA PA PAGODA

Visit Ta Pa Pagoda, a well-known spiritual attraction in the area, famous for its distinctive architecture. Built in 1999, the pagoda showcase the characterstic style of Theravada Khmer Buddhist architecture, featuring tiled roofs decorated with dragon and fish motifs, gracefully curved roof edged and a magnificent tower surrounded by triangular decorative elements. Another impressive feature is the long staircase leading from the foot of the mountain to the main sanctuary. The staircase is approximately 70 meters long and 15 meters wide, with around 240 steps. Take your time to explore the pagoda, admire its architecture and enjoy photo opportunities.
